On 1st October, a packed crowd had been waiting outside the ADEC ( Admission Examination Center) for the first Admission Test of Dhaka University. There were many students who were unable to join their friends and families in celebrating this day. The pressure of their family members and the hurry up to get admission into Dhaka University was driving them crazy. Many students had also been suffering from various minor ailments and thus were unable to join the queue even after paying heavy fees.
After much speculation, the ADEC finally started the examination for the students on the morning of 1st October. Many students spent sleepless nights thinking over what course they will choose to enter Dhaka University.
But finally, after much consultation with their parents and guardians, they all decided to go for the Law Degree. But still, there was no chance to save themselves as only around a hundred and fifty out of the ten thousand students had qualified for entrance.
The Engineering and Business degree was also awarded but only twenty out of the ten thousand candidates applied for those courses.
The first two weeks of the new semester were really tough and the confidence level of students was slowly diminishing day by day.
During these days there was hardly any breathing space as the number of students applying to the University was on the rise. The number of Engineering and Business students was also on the rise but still, there was a lot of space for the Admission Test of Dhaka University. There were more batches of students appearing for this examination every day.
